Co-Founder & Creative Director

Divya Palat is a director, producer, and creative force whose career spans film, television, theatre, and digital media. She co-founded Balancing Act in 2003, starting on the stage as Balancing Act Productions, where she directed and produced A Personal War — Stories of the Mumbai Terror Attacks, a production that toured four continents, won accolades in every country it played, and raised funds for the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s Office.

That grounding in narrative structure and live audience engagement now shapes how she leads Balancing Act’s creative output — from celebrity-led brand films to campaigns like Times of India’s “All For Love,” which she directed. She has steered the agency’s content and influencer strategy across categories from FMCG to fashion to hospitality, and continues to direct flagship campaign films for the agency’s largest clients.

Aditya Hitkari

Co-Founder & Managing Director

Aditya Hitkari is an actor, writer, and director with a deep understanding of storytelling and audience engagement, built over two decades on stage and screen. Alongside Divya, he co-founded Balancing Act in 2003 and helped build its reputation for socially conscious, award-winning theatre before steering the agency into brand content, influencer marketing, and celebrity activation.

Today he leads Balancing Act’s client strategy and business growth, overseeing the agency’s roster of national and global brands and its day-to-day operations. He has been closely involved in scaling the agency’s influencer and celebrity partnerships — from Nivea and Max Fashion to Asian Paints and CEAT.


Built Together

Together, Divya and Aditya have built Balancing Act from a socially-conscious theatre company into a content agency trusted by a diverse portfolio of national and global brands — recognised as Best MSME Company in India (2024), winner of the Brand Equity Award for Innovative Use of Influencers (2021), and a two-time Cannes Gold Award nominee for Puma’s “Suede Gully” campaign. Most recently, Balancing Act’s leadership completed the Stanford Seed Transformation Program, sharpening the agency’s approach to sustainable growth.
